An Alternative to Modular Homes: A Home Shaped Around Your Needs
We offer a modern alternative to modular home and factory-built houses by combining the strength and energy efficiency of a stone home with flexible design possibilities. The result is a home that doesn’t force you to adapt to a standard solution, but instead evolves around the needs and lifestyle of your family.
Speed and standardization come at a price. For example, modular homes consist of factory-built room modules with fixed dimensions. Because of their size, transporting and installing these finished modules can be complicated. During transport or installation, modules may sustain damage and microcracks can form in the structures, which may later affect the building’s airtightness and moisture resistance. In addition, timber materials are generally more sensitive to moisture and environmental conditions than stone or concrete structures, which can influence the long-term durability of the building.
Standardization can also become a limitation in factory-built solutions. The dimensions of elements and pre-manufactured modules mean that layouts can be adjusted to some extent, but full flexibility is usually not possible. Later modifications or structural changes to factory-built homes may also prove more complicated.
This is where Hild House offers a different approach.
A home that adapts to you
Every family is different. For some, the most important feature is a spacious living room where family and friends can gather. Others value a practical utility room or a large walk-in wardrobe. Some may want a dedicated home office, while others dream of a sauna with a generous entrance area.
The Hild House portfolio includes a range of thoughtfully designed homes with practical layouts, offering solutions that suit most families. At the same time, these designs are not rigid. The structures are engineered with durability, energy efficiency, and everyday comfort in mind: load-bearing exterior walls are built from Bauroc 375 blocks, while non-load-bearing interior walls use a metal frame with gypsum board. This makes the home well suited to the Nordic climate and allows the layout to be easily adapted when needed.
Would you like a larger living room or an additional bedroom for the children? We can make it happen.
Dreaming of a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe? No problem.
Want to add a utility room or change the layout of the rooms? That’s possible too.
And if you already have a clear vision of your future home, we can design the entire house fully according to your ideas.
